Part II to the ‘mother site’ – ezinhle.co.za – we now have the promotions site. It’s got a week or two until completion, but until then I have pretty much given this site direction. Over and above the visuals we’re implementing an online ordering system coupled with a CMS, content management system, to match. This will allow us to be able to produce pro-forma invoices and subsequently invoices from the website.
This should be something special at the end of the project.
Just a pitch I did with friends of mine Joe and Mirth for a cellular phone carrier in one of our neighbouring countries. Nothing much came of it, but this was our proposed design. With this and the sahiphop.co.za website I can firmly say that at this point in time my web design has it’s own distinct look and feel with a lot of emphasis on rounded corners and lots of eye-catching colour combinations. I have to be honest though – some of the ideas for this I got from the cellc.co.za website – not so much the design, but proposed menu items. Hey – I had to make sure it was relevant.
This is something I’m not in a rush to complete although some parties I will not mention have repeatedly tried to get me to commit on a completion date. Our current site is still appealing to me. I decided to create a new site which has a slightly shorter ‘learning curve’.
In real world terms I’m aiming for 1 minute tops and anyone should be able to comfortably navigate the website. Roughly 50% complete and am somewhat playing around with the layout and colour scheme. Should be interesting.
